Treemap Business Data Visualisation tool for NAV 2009 SP1
Microsoft has just released a new Treemap Business Data Visualisation tool for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1.
It is an easily customisable and defined tool that can help users get a visual overview of the position of their business, and thereby act accordingly.
The tool provides ways of analysing numeric measurements with clear visuals via two different perspectives, by size and by colour.
For example:
The above example shows us an analysis of Customer financial information, with the colour coding showing us the strength of their Sales (LCY) (from Red - weakest to Blue - strongest), and the relative size of the boxes showing the Profit (LCY).
The criteria for determining colour/size can be changed at run-time by the user, and the bars to the left/bottom of the graph can be used to filter out any boxes that don't meet a minimum value. Double clicking on any of the boxes will also take you straight to the related record in the Role Tailored Client (eg. In the above case, it would take you to the Customer Card).
